lag has been bad the last month....the spikes recently have been worse than usual....however, some of the time I have been playing quite smoothly.
hope they actually decide that it is something they can (and should) fix....otherwise I dont forsee my 2nd survivor ever getting to level 2 let alone 3. ---

The word "Intense" is an understatement!!! Ever since the update, IF I can even log in...i get disconnected 5 minutes later. Does not matter if i am in town or just standing in the GH doing nothing. The few times I have been able to stay connected, I have such lag that i cant do anything of importance. (Or what is important to me). God forbid should I actually want to go with a group of real ppl because I would be useless to them because either of lag or disconnects. Yes, I have had minor trouble in the past...(Minor being the key word here) but what i am experiencing now is unbelievable.

Hmms...? It seems that whatever Anet did to the servers has made a minor problem become major for some and a non-existent problem become a minor annoyance for others. I never EVER lag when I'm on my dorm's connection, yet now every once and awhile I'll get the whole, "I can't move... What the hell! Figures, one second from killing the monk and... Oh, I'm moving again. I'm dead. >,..,> God damn wiki sin. Their monk is alive! How is that even..." Swearing. Yeah, I don't need my blood pressure higher than it already is, kay? Can we have a fix to this or at least have Anet acknowledge it at the login screen?

Well post 1 = You QQ coz you wanted to play and post 2 = you QQ coz of an event being on (that seeing as you have had many posts over the past week or so I am sure you were aware of).
As far as generalizations are concerned - maybe you should take your own medicine before quoting at others - "Every monk in Bergen is a bot" springs to mind.
Have a good spring day .
Back to the topic - This evening I have had a number of lag spikes but fortunately no DCs.

I didn't QQ at all. I simply stated that I don't play during events because the lag is for me personally unmanageable. I don't mind that I can't; I was replying in vein of the OP who seems to think that the lag is caused by network maintenance, which could well be, but my point was simply to present an alternative hypothesis. Anyway, you seem to have taken exception to me for some unknown reason so I would ask that you keep your personal attacks against me to PM's because it doesn't seem right to hijack someone's thread just because you've decided you don't like me.

Using the university internet connection to play GW at the moment, as I'm here until Christmas. This event is ruining my GW experience, and as you can imagine was absolutely gutted they made Halloween twice. Oh and not just that, you have Halloween and a Alliance Battle event combo! So basically I'm buggered, averaging around 30,000 ping!
